Saperavi 2015 is made from high quality Saperavi grape variety harvested from Chelti vineyards, Kakheti Region, Georgia. The grapes are handpicked. Chelti is the winery of the Mirianashvili family, which benefits from a favorable microclimate influenced by the Caucasus Mountains and the Chelti River. This wine is fermented using wild yeast lees and aged in oak barrels for 12 months. The wine has a dark ruby color with a light brick hue around the edges. It is characterized by distinctive aromas of French oak barrels: cedar, cinnamon, clove and pine, with light tones of leather and dried black plum. The wine is full-bodied, with balanced tannins and acidity, high alcohol content and an aftertaste with tones of oak. The wine requires decanting for 40-60 minutes. It has potential for further aging.
